What makes a trail more technical than the next? Maybe it's the difficulty of negotiating climbs and descents, mixed with the likes of loose rock or baby heads; perhaps the trail is really tight and winding, where one wrong adjustment will find your handlebars thrown 90ΒΊ to either side.

Although 'Technical' isn't necessarily synonymous with 'Difficult', it is with 'Challenging'. With that said, if you are looking for a challenge, look no further than the 20 trails listed below:
