Texas Mountain Biking
Texas is arguably the greatest state in the entire U.S.
when it comes to mountain biking (among other things). Perhaps nowhere in
Texas offers anything as epic as Moab, Utah, or as classic as Crested Butte,
Colorado; however, when a single state offers the diversity that Texas offers...well,
you be the judge. After-all, they say that variety is the spice
of life.
From sandy beaches and nearby crashing surf, to true mountain descents amid large desert lizards; singletrack laced with an intricate web of slick roots as you barely scrape by an unforgiving hardwood, to singletrack covered by so many loose rocks (some big, some small, all wanting to kill you) that you struggle to keep your rear tire from losing its grip as your legs curse at your desire to reach the next crest.
This is Texas mountain biking, and you wouldn't want it any other way.
